Connection to a GPS


You will need a data cable from your GPS manufacturer/dealer that usually ends with a female DB-9 connector (see also www.gpscables.com). Serial cable that comes with Pocket PC also ends with a female DB-9 connector. Therefore, a short cable connecting the two that has male DB-9 on both ends is needed. Also, this cable should reverse lines 2 and 3, and let the line 5 go straight through. See pictures below:
